The accelerated pace of slaughter animals has a dangerous risk for the coming decades.
Tigers are the largest felines (cats are other lions, leopards and jaguars). The tigers, which can measure up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 660 pounds, are capable of jumping nearly double what they measure and swim up to 4 miles a sit, sometimes carrying prey. Tigers, a species that once occupied all of southern Asia coming to Russia, now living in the wild only in India and Siberia.
In the early 90s, it was estimated that the world's tiger population exceeded 100,000. Today, 97 percent of the population has been eradicated, leaving fewer than 3,200 tigers remaining. Of the eight original species of tiger, three are extinct: the Balinese tiger, the Caspian tiger and the Javan tiger. Tigers kill to feed the black market trade in the skin, bones and other parts of the tiger is one of the main causes of its rapid decline.
More than just an animal problem
When poachers kill an animal for a specific part of your body (such as rhino horn, tiger bones or tusks) the damage extends beyond the animal. The wildlife trafficking can decimate the entire population of a species, threaten regional security, introduce risk factors on the health of human communities and ecosystems falter cause.
